The amendment to Hungary's 'child protection' legislation, making it an offence to hold events for LGBTQ+ rights, passed with 136 votes in favour to 27.
The law, supported by Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party and their minority coalition partner the Christian Democrats, was pushed through parliament in an accelerated procedure after being submitted only a day earlier.
