Between 56% and 79% of people across seven European countries are in favour of retaliatory tariffs against the US if Donald Trump introduces ‘Liberation Day’ levies, a survey has shown.

The US president appears likely to unleash a range of tariffs, varying from country to country, on Wednesday, which he has called Liberation Day.
