A trial opens in Finland over severed cables in the Baltic Sea.

On 25 December 2024, the Eagle S was boarded off the coast of Helsinki, suspected of causing the breakage of five cables in the Baltic Sea.

Three sailors, including the ship's captain, are accused of causing the rupture of cables between Finland and Estonia. They are now standing trial in Helsinki.
