Spanish lawmakers on Wednesday, 8 October approved the enshrinement in law of an arms embargo on Israel that Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez introduced to end what he called “the genocide in Gaza.”

Spain will now ban all defence exports to Israel and halt related imports amid the Gaza conflict.
