In just seven minutes and in broad daylight, an astonishingly efficient, lightning-fast heist, was carried out with remarkable ease in the world's largest museum.

The Louvre, in the heart of Paris, had only been open to the public for 30 minutes at around 9:30 on Sunday, 19 October when a four-person gang reached the Apollo Gallery.
