The Irish Government plans an electricity interconnector to Spain.

Irish Minister for Energy Darragh O’Brien told RTÉ News that he met with his Spanish counterpart this week.
It’s understood it’s more likely that Spain would export energy to Ireland as Spain frequently has an excess of power.
Ireland currently has two interconnectors with Britain and will be linked to France in 2027 through the ‘Celtic Interconnector’.
