The French Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers, a non-profit collective which represents around 60 000 writers for cinema, TV, theatre and comedy shows, said Thursday it had filed a lawsuit in Paris, accusing the Chinese-owned platform of using extracts from films and shows without permission or fair compensation.

A first hearing is set for 18 March.
