London police arrested former UK ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson on Monday as part of a misconduct probe over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Emails released by the US Department of Justice appeared to show Mandelson sharing information with the disgraced financier while a minister in then-premier Gordon Brown’s cabinet.
