The EU’s six largest economies push for a capital markets union.

Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and The Netherlands, known as the E6, have reached a common agreement on how to integrate capital markets in an attempt to get a deal through a politically stagnant Brussels.

It is considered one of the main priorities for the bloc, helping it pursue the goal of making Europe more competitive on the global stage.
