Poland’s economy is gaining in importance in Europe. In 2025 the country ranked sixth in the EU by nominal GDP, accounting for almost 5% of the bloc’s total output.

In terms of economic size, only Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands now rank above Poland.
